Fish Tale Contest
presented by
Mendenhall Auto Center Subaru and
AT & T Alascom.
Six lucky and talented listeners will fish the
62nd Golden North Salmon Derby in style aboard the
Islander (pictured above)
a luxurious 37-foot Tollycraft. We provide everything for the trip including
coffee & doughnuts, tackle, bait, lunch and, of course, help landing those
weighed and scholarship fish. Winners will also be reimbursed for the cost
of their Derby tickets.
The KINY Fish Tales Contest Rules
- The contest is open to anyone 18 years or older.
- Participants may enter as many times in any category
as they want.
- Employees of KINY and sponsors (AT&T and
Mendenhall
Auto
Center) are not eligible.
- The best written story or essay, best limerick or
best poem will win their way onto the 37’ Islander for a day of fishing.
- Winners are responsible for having a current AK
fishing license with a salmon stamp. All winners must purchase a derby
ticket and have it validated. (you will be reimbursed for the cost of
the ticket once on board).
- All entries regardless of type must have no more
than 75 words.
- Limericks are to be kept G-rated…we’d like to be
able to read them on the air.
- All entries must be received by August 4th at 5PM,
ADT.
- Entries may be sent by electronic means to

- The decision of the judges is final.
- All entries become the property of KINY and may be
broadcast.
